About Scouting

Useful Links

Pack 329 thrives on the active participation of parents. Most pack activities are organized by a committee of parents, and the more parents we have involved the better organized we are. Please review the roles available on this page and contact us if you are interested in a role on committee, or you have ideas for exciting events for our boys.

Committee Positions and what they mean

Chairperson

The Chairperson is the main point of contact for the Committee, and he/ she directs committee meetings. The Chairperson is responsible for organizing committee meetings, contacting committee members, prepares the meeting agendas and ensures the agenda is followed.

The role is once a month, and committee meetings are held on the first Monday after the 1st Thursday (District Round Up) of each month.

Along with the Cub Master, this is the most important role in the Pack.

Fundraising Chair

As cub scouts is a voluntary organization most of our events are paid for through fundraising. The Fundraising Chair is responsible for ensuring that every effort is made to raise funds for the Pack (usually tasked to scouts and parents). It is not the responsibility of the Fundraising Chair to single-handedly raise funds for the Pack. The role comes with the full support of the Cub Master and the Committee.

Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator is responsible for (surprise, surprise) coordinating Pack events. This is not as daunting as it sounds because the role does not include organizing District Events, Pack Meetings (Cub Master's responsibility), Den Meetings (Den Master's responsibility) or Pack Camps (Camp Master's Responsibility).

The Events Coordinator is not solely responsible for organizing these events, but will be supported by the entire committee and additional volunteers. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that each event is organized.
